getting back on track after a layoff or being stuck

after I joined the program I did have an offer from a company that for a senior role full stack but primarily front end really it checked I think all of the boxes that I came in hoping for The salary increase was even more than I expected to be honest I went from 140 000 USD to 200 000 just not even a blip on my radar Like I didn't expect that at all remotely So obviously very thrilled about that But it's also so far it seems like the culture of the company is more collaborative than what I'm used to And so I'm really looking forward to that as well But yeah it really the whole process that helped me go for exactly what I had written down in my goals more of a match than I could have imagined So yeah super super happy with that obviously But I'm kind of still in disbelief to be honest of how well it worked out

getting back on track after a layoff or being stuck

anyone in a similar situation to what I was like if anyone who's feeling stuck or like they're not really if they know that they're not going in the direction they want to be as an engineer and they're looking for something new I would say even for those who are on a bit of a time crunch this is something that can be invaluable This is technically my first senior title So I definitely want to go into it strong and over the next six months sort of hit the ground running so to speak And then I think in the longterm the way that I look at it now I want to stay on the engineering path

specific technical fundamentals or skills that made a difference

I came across after seeing the YouTube videos first if I remember correctly And those already I thought were pretty helpful And then I found my way to the site I think I was looking over some of the testimonials as well And then I decided to give it a try from there I really was looking for something that would have the breadth of concepts while also focusing sort of in detail And I hadn't really come across anything similar to this in terms of being focused on JavaScript and having front end specific modules as well And so that was part of what drew me into checking it out really

specific technical fundamentals or skills that made a difference

I have two favorite aspects One was the amount and quality of the module content I really appreciated all of the detail and the assignments that went along with that And I feel like it was broad enough to cover as many topics as I think could possibly fit into a course like this but was also tailored for a very specific goal On the other hand I think my other favorite part was the availability and frequency of feedback whether it's through the calls or through the community posts and how detailed you guys went into feedback for everyone
